Dan Pike became Mayor of Bellingham, WA on November 27, 2007. When he announced his Chief Administrative Officer would also be the city’s Sustainability Officer, we wondered what else he had in mind. We talked with him just after the 100 day mark of his administration.

"This is something I use with folks who are a little more conservative than I am on some things. I say, “Well, I’m conservative too. I’m economically conservative. I want to get more efficiencies out of our system.”
